The original Tracts for the Times (1833-1841) were a series of pamphlets written by the leaders of the Oxford Movement—John Henry Newman, John Keble, Edward Pusey, and others. Their purpose was to call the Church of England back to its historic, catholic roots. If a similar series were produced today, the titles and topics would have to speak to the ecclesial, theological, cultural, and ethical challenges that confront not only Anglicans but all Christians who cherish ecumenical fellowship—especially those seeking deeper connections among the legacy churches.
This series' aim is to preserve the original spirit of doctrinal depth, ecclesial breadth, and moral seriousness, while framing the discussion for twenty-minute bi-monthly podcasts that function as catechetical teaching moments. Each episode invites listeners to think deeply about serious questions, both within and outside the church.
